Getting started

At Europcar we strive to make your car or van hire experience as simple as possible. Here we have put together various topics of useful information, advice and help related to your electric vehicle hire.

Step 1

Take the keyfob of the vehicle

Push the button with the sign of the padlock unlocked

Step 3

The vehicle is now unlocked, you can open the doors

Step 1

Press the brake pedal and the Power button at the same time. Start Button is located on the right under the steering wheel.

As it's an electric vehicle don't be surprised by the absence of noise

Press the brake pedal and select drive / D with the gearbox to start driving. Gearbox is on the centrale console on the right below the screen.

Remove your feet from the braking pedal, the vehicle will slowly start to advance still making no motor noise as it's an electric vehicle

Step 3

Drive the electric vehicle as you would a traditional automatic car, utilizing the accelerator pedal to accelerate and the brake pedal to decelerate or stop.

Step 1

When you are in a safe and appropriate parking spot, keep your feet on the brake and shift the vehicle into 'Park' or 'P' mode using the gearbox. turn off the vehicle by pressing the power button

Leave the vehicle and ensure all doors are properly closed

Push the button on the keyfob to lock the vehicle.

Step 1

The charge port is located on the front of the vehicle just below Ford's Logo. To open the charge port cover, ensure the vehicle is unlocked, press the charging port door and release – the door will open to reveal the waterproof plug cover. Remove the plug cover to reveal the combined charging port.

Step 2

Before you begin charging, you must ensure the vehicle power system is turned off. To start charging, insert the connector into the charge port and lock the vehicle using the key fob.

Step 3

Unplug & Go When charging is complete, unlock the vehicle, gently pull and remove the connector and return it to its dock. You can stop charging at any time by disconnecting the charge cable.
